William James „Bill“ Murray (* 21. September 1950 in Wilmette, Illinois) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Regisseur, Komiker und Produzent. Murray ist einem breiten Publikum durch eine Reihe erfolgreicher Filmkomödien in den 1980er Jahren bekannt geworden, wobei seine Arbeit mit dem Regisseur Ivan Reitman herausragt. Ab den 1990er Jahren erweiterte Murray sein Repertoire um tragikomische und ernsthafte Rollen, für welche er zunehmend auch von der Filmkritik gewürdigt wurde.
