Yeah it's a documentary like many before it and doesn't break any new ground,what makes this one stand out is the sheer emotion that comes out from all of the contributors and how much John Candy was loved.So many great stories are shared about his love for his family and his kindness and generosity. If you don't shed a tear at least once at some point.during this movie then you must be dead.

I cried like 2 minutes into this. John Candy was the absolute best dude ever.

I write very few comments or reviews, but I had to for this one. I am an 80s/90s kid and John Candy was the first celebrity death that really hurt. I was 9 years old when he died and I struggled to process it. I thought he'd always be there, and then he wasn't. I've thought of him countless times over the years, always with a tinge of sadness. When I learned last year that this documentary was on the way I waited excitedly for it to come out. Then, once it did, I took a few weeks to finally watch it because I wasn't sure how emotional it would be. Well, the answer is very, but I am glad I did. Beautifully produced and the interviews are a dream team of incredible people in their own right. The family segments were especially poignant and ultimately what broke me. He is worth being remembered and loved, just as we all are. I am glad that this gives the world a chance to do that again.

Who doesn’t love John Candy? I’m definitely not one of those people. I’ve always loved his charm, charisma, and so many of his movies. The documentary was good - it wasn’t boring at all and gave great insight into his life and journey. It’s sad that he’s gone too soon, but what can you do? We all make choices and face their consequences.
