Lon Cheney Jr. is the _Man Made Monster_ in Universal’s sci-fi/horror film. The story follows a man who survives a bus crash into an electrical tower and goes to work for a pair of scientists who study him to find out how he survived, but one of scientists has a more nefarious plan in mind. Cheney gives a strong performance and Lionel Atwill makes for a good mad scientist. However, the villain’s plan’s rather bizarre and the plot is a little thin. Still, the monster’s rampage is exciting and the effects team does some impressive work. It’s entertaining, but _Man Made Monster_ is one of Universal’s weaker horror films.

Great movie! Lon Chaney literally glows in this movie! About a man who is immune to electricity until a mad doctor increases his immunity to epic proportions until he is put to death for a murder he did not commit and the electrical chair fails to kill him. Awesome!
