Sinopsis
Años 40. Tras varias décadas de felicidad marital, Harry (Chris Cooper) llega a la conclusión de que debe asesinar a su mujer Pat (Patricia Clarkson). La quiere demasiado como para hacerla sufrir el día que decida abandonarla por la joven y adorable Kay (Rachel McAdams). Lo que Harry ignora es que su mejor amigo (Pierce Brosnan) está decidido a robarle a su amante. Mientras Harry ultima el plan para deshacerse de Pat, las personas que lo rodean están también trazando planes que les permitan dar rienda suelta a sus pasiones ocultas, aunque acabarán tropezando con sus propios escrúpulos.

This movie was a surprising little gem. There have been countless movies made about relationships and marriage, but I can't ever recall one that is quite like this one. Over the course of 90 minutes, the film twists and turns as it lays out the conflicts between the main characters. And then it does something interesting: in the middle of relationship turmoil, it hints at darker themes and possibly a mystery. The icing on the cake is that it does something that these movies tend not to do: the resolution is what usually happens in real life.
