A damn good found footage folk horror. It's such a fresh take on both the horror comedy and found footage genre. The setup is actually quite unique making it stand out from the bunch. While it takes quite a while to really get going, the acting and dialogue are extremely good and they keep things interesting. The highlight of this film is surprisingly the characters, especially the Russian guy. Every character in this film is endearing and that's pretty rare for a found footage flick. The film builds up to a crazy climax where all sorts of shit are going down. Even after things get real, it gives a fairly constant reason to keep the cameras running. The special effects in the finale are so cheesy and I'm not mad. I would totally recommend this film without hesitation.
They're watching, I was watching, you may be watching! I was not prepared for the film's ending. I love it when a film surprises me and this one did. It was a semi-comic horror told in hand-held style, so nothing particularly new. And then it does something amazing. Watch it and see.
It's surprisingly a delightful and entertaining film that I thoroughly enjoyed. The special effects, while a bit cringeworthy, contributed a unique charm and character to the movie. In fact, I hadn't even heard of it until today.
It’s fun. Lots of fun.
Got kind of stupid at the end.
