Very good drama about promiscuity amongst other things. A little long for my taste but I enjoyed the progression of the story and the characters. It's bleak and anything positive is usually destroyed by the characters own flaws. The end is shocking. Maybe it deserves a 7.
This movie is interesting in many ways. One is the cast. Diane Keaton delivers an excellent performance while it is also early roles for the future stars Tom Berenger and Richard Gere. Then it depicts the late 1970’s and the club scenes of the time that was considered degenerate by the conservatives of the time, though it feels quite normal from today’s persepctive. The motive of the crime in the movie is also linked to the social pressure on gay people, who were, at the time, not yet accepted by the mainstream society. And then the movie is also well filmed and directed, even though it has some length here and there. In conclusion, a must for cinema buffs.
