Why is Jordan down in the basement on her own when she doesn't appear to be a security risk? Why is Audrey such a bitch to the child when she first meets Jordan? Doesn't seem to be the method a "highly qualified" Special Investigator or child psychologist would take. That and she sparks up a cigarette in Jordans room. Yeah, cheers, thanks for that! Audrey manages to break through to Jordan in only a few days after qualified doctors have been trying for years. The cops are predictably stereotypical chauvinists who don't respect a women coming in to their realm. When The Bough Breaks definitely takes cues from The Silence Of The Lambs. Audrey is a blatent copy of Clarice Starling were her weakness is confined spaces. The confrontation at Dr Eben's house is reminiscent of the scene in Bill's house. Yes, it's fair to say this a a poor man's TSOTL.
