Sinopsis
Gregory Peck interpreta a un abogado cuya peor pesadilla se convierte en realidad cuando el criminal que logró encarcelar regresa a la ciudad y empieza a molestar a su esposa (Pollu Bergen) y a su hija adolescente (Lori Martin). A pesar de la ayuda del jefe de policía (Martin Balsam) y de un detective privado (Telly Savalas), Peck no tiene ningún recurso legal para impedir que Mitchum deje de jugar con ellos al gato y al ratón. Finalmente Peck decide tenderle una trampa…

Original Cape Fear was good, lots of suspense and drama. Robert Mitchum was awesome.

The original is way better than I imagined, specially the staging, acting, lighting, editing and score in the last 20 minutes are outstanding. Surprisingly the staging overall is quite modern for a 60'es film. And I can only imagine how shocking certain things depicted must have been for the ppl at that time. It is rightfully considered a classic of the genre and in film-making in general.
