It is a mediocre show with tons of plot holes. The performance were weak. Pacing was awful. I did not like it. I am glad it is finally over. Not recommended.
I don’t know what it is about a Coben limited series. I’m drawn to watching them, only to be sorely disappointed by the end of every one. And yet, here I am again watching another one. When will I learn! As I’ve said in previous reviews of Coben series’, I’ve never read any of his books which I am told are much better. After seeing so many disappointing series’ I have no appetite for reading anything from him. So many plot holes. So many completely unnecessary twists that do nothing to move the story forward. So many unresearched details that would never happen. Decent performances, but such disappointing writing. Will I watch the next one when it comes out? Probably - lol!
A very average and surprisingly dull adaptation. The story is simple, yet the series keeps stretching it with weak decisions, obvious mistakes and an FBI investigation that often feels completely incompetent. At the same time, one agent seems almost psychic, instantly knowing when someone is lying or what happened in a room without any real evidence. Nothing gets past her, except apparently basic common sense. The central twist is not nearly as clever as the show thinks it is, and the conspiracy behind everything feels unsatisfying rather than shocking. By the final episodes, the story becomes more frustrating than suspenseful, leading to an anticlimactic finale that makes the whole journey feel like a waste of time. Perhaps Harlan Coben needs to slow down and take a break instead of producing another novel and adaptation every other week. This is far from a god work and far from a strong thriller. Suitable mainly as background viewing while ironing.
Good cast with a premising intrigue but very generic and pretty mid.
By episode 3, if you liked The Fugitive with Harrison Ford, you'll like I Will Find You. Glad it's a limited series too, nice clean finish when it's done. Good first 3 episodes so far.
