New season. Higher stakes. Same Cross.
Alex Cross is a brilliant but flawed homicide detective and full of contradictions. A doting father and family man, Cross is single-minded to the point of obsession when he hunts killers. He is desperate for love, but his wife’s murder has left him too damaged to receive it.

**Dollar store Mindhunter** starts off reasonably well, but it descends into a rather lighthearted and childish tone by the end. The writing lacks depth and fails to provide adequate explanations for the characters’ actions. Furthermore, the show could have benefited from a shorter runtime, of like 5 eps instead of the current 8. Overall, it had the potential to be a much more compelling series, but it failed to live up to it.
Why can't they make a show with black actors that isn't about racism? I don't care about the color of their skin. Just make an interesting crime show ffs and act as normal human beings because that's what you are.
What a bullshit show .. tooooo weak
Ultra sappy show with bad acting, terrible dialoguex worst score ever and super boring unoriginal plot - apart from that the production value is pretty good and so is the soundtrack but that’s not nearly enough to make the show any good. Watched first two episodes and gave up… oh and it’s also one of those shows where they tell you at the end of the episode what is going to happen in the next one… seriously? I thought they stopped doing that in the 80s.
Here’s the perspective of someone who has never read the books or knew anything about Alex Cross before watching the series. Despite having a promising story about the character, the performances could have been better, especially given the rich material they had to work with. The first episode is spectacular, full of energy, and capable of exciting anyone to continue watching. However, the quality gradually declines throughout the season, although some episodes still have standout moments. I expected a stronger, more assertive protagonist, something like Patrick Jane from The Mentalist. Instead, the character’s sadness and drama were stretched out for too long, which doesn’t match the impression we initially got of him in the first episode. The main villain of the season was one of its best aspects, slightly reminiscent of The Following or Red John from The Mentalist, though not at the same level of quality. There seemed to be a larger conspiracy, with enemies in high-ranking government positions aiding the serial killer, but this plot point was dropped without explanation. By the end, these elements had completely disappeared, leaving only a hook for a second season. Despite its flaws, I recommend the series to fans of the genre. I’m curious about the second season and hope the issues from the first are resolved. That said, there are better options in this style.
