[Channel 4] It begins as an interesting youth drama proposal that builds ambiguous characters marked by the need to protect those close to them. But it becomes less interesting as the script ticks off the checklist of social issues (immigration, hidden homosexuality, class differences, sexism...), until it ends up using basic thriller narrative devices to construct a disappointing ending that resolves lightly what seemed like the main event driving the story.
It is like an English version of Euphoria. I thought it was really good. Hopefully they'll make a second season 🏻
