Fun action film. Really representative of the 80s, with the style, the robot and the simple blow em all away attitude. Norris is fun in it, and the premise is good.
Back when it was cool to like Chuck Norris flicks before all the lady boners over Walker Texas Ranger ruined it
No-holding-back-punches Norris around a turf war over a ton of cocaine and a new armored "it's the future!" Police robot. This thing really tries to pack as many 80s aspects into 1 movie as possible. The bar scene is weirdly forced, otherwise a good shootin' time had by all... and yes, the end is full on one man army Norris against what seems like all of Columbia
Back when heroes didn’t talk much — they acted. RIP Chuck, Henry, Dennis, Ralph — heroes of another time.
"When I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you." Chuck Norris has completed life and will always have a lasting impact on popculture. According to Wikipedia Code of Silence was written to potentially be a fourth entry in the Dirty Harry series but I'm happy it went to Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris is a one man army in this one and he even uses the Prowler as his weapon, a police issued armed drone. He kicks and punches bad guys, he has some great lines, he has his honor, doesn't want a rookie partner, he trains shirtless and he is still trying to be a better actor. Code of Silence looks gritty, has that kick-ass 80's soundtrack, some great stunt work, Henry Silva as the bad guy and he rocks, you get a few story-lines woven together, shoot-outs and a great supporting cast. Code of Silence is worth a watch for sure to see what Chuck Norris was up to in the 80s and if you are down for some gritty 80s action. It might not be a classic but it sure is entertaining.
