Another year, another Purge movie, another missed opportunity. In short, this, like every other Purge movie before it, lacks in violence & gore, has cheap visual effects and has a stupid, poorly written script. The script is basically the same as all other Purge movies and completely fails to entice the audience. It misses all opportunity to go all-out on the violence, lacks character development and just follows it’s cookie cutter format: [spoiler]people that shouldn’t be out on purge night are and need to be saved.[/spoiler] It tries to convey a social message but does it so clumsily that it fails it in that miserably too. Seriously, this franchise either needs to ramp up and decide it wants to be a hardcore gore/horror movie (for which it’s premise should be perfectly suited, but let’s be honest; it won’t do that because it won’t attract the general public) or get purged from cinemas itself.

If you are looking for a movie that pushes a racist agenda, this is your movie.

The white supremacists are real mad about this one. They must not have watched the last two movies, where the NFAA and racists were also working together. And they missed the entire point of these movies. Another great addition to the franchise. 7/10.

Definately the lesser of all Purge movies for the simple reason it's a wee bit one-sided in it's political statement. Don't really care that the hero of the movie is a drug kingpin but it does appear that the bad guys are all white people and usually of the racist type. Even the hero at one point says something in the vain of "let's show these white-head mofo's..." half an hour-ish before he chokes a blue-eyed, very blonde aryan-type kinda guy. Previous movies left it all a bit more in the middle, even the series has good people of all races. They should have kept it Government VS People and not a veiled race-war. Cause let's face it... It's the people in charge we should purge not our fellow man on the street. Then again... it's easier targeting those below us I guess. Regardless of the duality one can find in this movie there should have been a little bit more regardless if it sells better this way.
