I’m confused by the love these 28 Years Later sequels are getting. I found The Bone Temple narratively and tonally absurd. Despite a handful of horrific, graphic scenes, the movie plays like an unfunny comedy. One minute Samson is ripping off heads with spinal cords still attached, and the next he’s getting high and dancing naked with his doctor. I’m all for new ideas, but this franchise has drifted too far from what made it work: a terrifying virus and the brutal, constant fight to survive. Here, the biggest threat isn’t the infected at all. It’s a gang of unintelligent, devil worshipping, kooky, teletubby obsessed yocals in tracksuits, devoted to torturing innocent people, while the zombies merely exist in parallel. What happened?
2 top comments need to be removed. This was great and they hadn’t even watched it.
dude what an amazing trilogy so far!!! i know it’s not much like the original films but if you think about it as an adaptation that builds on that old world it’s great!! this has immense artistic value as well as the first 2 years and i’m really excited for the 3rd movie :clap_tone2::clap_tone2:
After watching I am confused. Was it good or bad? But one thing is certain: this movie was unnecessary.
