I wanted to like it more, but it was too much about straight people making all about themselves.

I wouldn't say this movie was bad - it certainly wasn't, but it wasn't what I wanted out of a movie of such a description. I feel like the film was meant more FOR parents and closed minded adults, not people actively watching the movie because it for once deals with a lesbian couple. It was a letdown, but not however terrible.

I think that Grace Gummer as Anne stole the entire movie. It may be called 'Jenny's Wedding', but it seems to be about everyone else but Jenny or Kitty unfortunately.

LGBTQ representation is necessary, but only when it's done in a responsible way. There are so many problematic statements in this movie, but the one that stands out is the assumption that you are a liar if you are in the closet. **You are not!** The parents in this movie are homophobic, yes, but they seem to be really bad parents in general - selfish and ignorant. For them it's a big problem, [spoiler]having a daughter, who's in a happy long-term relationship with another woman but they also completely ignore the fact, that their other daughter is in an unhappy marriage, because when she finally decides to kick her husband out, the only reaction from their father is: "I don't blame you, the guy's a bum."[/spoiler] Anyway.. in the end, the only character I rooted for was Anne (played by **Grace Gummer**), _Jenny_'s straight sister who [spoiler]kicks out said bum of a husband[/spoiler]. Her ramblings about [spoiler]dead grass[/spoiler] were entertaining enough to add one rating point.
