As previously said, as miserable as you'd expect a Russian drama to be. But it goes much deeper than that. It's a great movie about two sons that are bonding with their long lost but returning father. The sceneries and nature is beatiful and rough, the acting is nothing but great. The pace is slow however it gets better towards the middle and end of the movie.
