I actually remember this movie being a big deal during awards season. It's a simple if somewhat cliché story. Still a lovely film with great direction and a great cast (hey, that's Viola Davis! Overqualified and criminally underused). You will appreciate it more if you are a fan of old, classic Hollywood movies.
