I can't believe this film did not get more respect than it did. The cast, acting and story are absolutely fantastic. Should have been a bigger film. https://ihatebadmovies.com

I actually remember this movie being a big deal during awards season. It's a simple if somewhat cliché story. Still a lovely film with great direction and a great cast (hey, that's Viola Davis! Overqualified and criminally underused). You will appreciate it more if you are a fan of old, classic Hollywood movies.
