Synopsis
Un barman new-yorkais reçoit un appel de son ancien meilleur ami gravement malade, qui lui demande de le rejoindre en Thaïlande. Leur voyage devient l’occasion de revisiter des liens passés et de confronter des blessures anciennes. Entre retrouvailles, non-dits et quête de sens, les deux hommes cherchent à réparer ce qui a été brisé.

A road movie that starts at high speed and progressively runs out of gas. The director does not hide his tendency to cloying writing and develops it along a path of thanks and forgiveness when life ends. Wong Kar-Wai's presence as producer is surprising, but he brings little of his usual subtlety. The journey is wrapped in a soundtrack that sounds like something out of a cheesy mood playlist.
