Oh, I discovered that I can produce manly tears too. And I did so for about an hour, during this movie. On a Father's Day. Very recommended.

I had no idea about this amazing movie until I review "food movies" list in Trakt. I love this community as it helps me to know the movies which I had never heard before. Mr. Church is a movie that you can enjoy with Eddie Murphy's amazing act.

Eddie Murphy turns in an excellent performance as Mr. Church, and he is surrounded by a talented cast. The film never overdoes the sentimentality, so any tears that fall will be earned and not forced. It's good, and a showcase for what Murphy can do as an actor, without the need for multi-character prosthetics and fart jokes.

Mr church is a beautiful timeline of: Life, Love, and Family followed by mixed emotions. I thought the story was heartwarming, and well performed with a top cast that shared some beautiful chemistry, specially (Eddie Murphy) with a overwhelming performance.

I knew I was going to cry. One one for this movie: Beautiful.
