Totally not the same as the book. So many parts got cut/skipped!! Seems rushed through. So so disappointing, really fail. Reading the book much more enjoyable..

I suggest you read the book first. There are so many inconsistencies between two. Movie itself is not bad but I think it could be much better if they followed a book a bit more.

Inferior than the first Percy Jackson movie. Thought admittedly I didn’t really hate it as much but if you read the books then it’s even worse. Feels like halfway producers gave up and made their own spin to it that far from the source materials. Clarisse here is not the same Clarisse from books and so many differences that so utterly absurd. Better just watch the Disney Plus miniseries that’s coming out later this year than this heap of dumpster fire.
