Didn't care for this one. Good performances but a little too icky for my time when I want to be entertained.

>"The only reason this city's here is because they built it with bullets." It's gritty and feels a little more like a tv movie, but it pretty good. You can tell this has David Ayer all over it. The ending alone makes it worth it and Kurt Russell always goes all in.

A lot of strong characters have motives and make sacrifices that intertwine. I just didnt like the wife character of Sally. She made out that Eldon was bad or changed but we never see him treat her bad or particularly negative, and if anything she was the negative one in the relationship. There are so many things going on with characters that their journeys kind of sacrifices conventional action, and it feels like a long episode from a tv series. I wasn't expecting the end to be so good.

Boy this movie was pretty great. I rear some reviews that said it was predictable. I don't know what movie they were watching. I did not see the last 25 minutes coming. Also wild seeing this now after seeing the new OJ doc that talks about the riots and their impact. I will say that until the riot stuff this movie didn't really look 1992. It could have been set in 2002 when it was shot except for the cars and Ving Rhames glasses.
