Badly plotted action pic is boring and dated. The kind of film you could have picked up in your local video store in the 90's, though you would have been disappointed even then.
Yet another 'poster pay-cheque' phone-in performance from Bruce Willis, he has become a master of not GAF! I think his scenes were shot in their entirety while he was waiting for a pizza to be delivered, you could tell his mind was on the pizza, not on his acting. As for the rest, just your typical low-budget action movie starring a bunch of C list actors that you may enjoy if you fancy some brainless entertainment, hardest part will be deciding who, aside from Willis, to give the crappiest actor award to! For me it's Jenna B Kelly who fails to introduce any emotion whatsoever to the part she's playing, she doesn't seem to get 'acting' at all. It's so telling that in its opening week in the UK this movie grossed just £87, yes 87, not 87 thousand or even hundred, just 87 ($105). I hope they got their money back!
One of biggest examples of stunt casting you'll ever see. Aside from that, 'Precious Cargo' is poor in almost every area. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is very much the lead actor, Bruce Willis barely features at all; and when he does, it seems he didn't give a toss about this production - I'm not usually one to say an actor is supposedly phoning it in, but Willis in this... oof. Gosselaar, for his part, is average. As are the rest of the cast, yet I kinda liked Jenna B. Kelly's Logan. This attempts action, comedy and romance - none of which pay off unfortunately. The action is OK, though the comedy is extremely forced but not helped by lame dialogue. As for the love story, there is far too much - to quote the film itself - "sappy shit" in this. 100% action was needed. I will say I appreciate that there is at least a male and a female character, both appear a large amount, that don't end up getting together, instead remaining friends. That's unusual with this sorta film. The score is actually alright, too. It also, unexpectedly, includes a blooper reel in the end credits. Improved writing and acting could've made this work, if only on a minorly serviceable level.
Bruce Willis looks like he wants to hang himself.
I'm sorry, I'm rating the movie "Bad" 3/10 based just on the first 18 minutes. I couldn't continue watching this. It looks like the most amatur story with all the lamest moves there is. Simply very "American" bad movie. Watch it only if you love simple action movies. Otherwise avoid even downloading this.
