This movie is not the worst, but it's definitely not good. The action scenes are a bit dumb in my opinion, missing the target literally in from of you, they send these "special ops" after them and they are not even organized, they act rogue and unprofessionally. The story did not serve, they did not built the story properly, they show no motive for that plot twist, and they just give us a lot of questions. The movie just had too much potential but was very badly directed.
❤x6 So, this is the first movie with Bruce Willis in it that I've commented on since finding out he is sick. Here it is quite apparent that he is no longer the man he used to be. All of his dialogue is short sentences and edited with quick cuts or shot looking at the back of his head. Plus he is doing all of his acting sitting down now. We have seen this more and more in the couple dozen movies he's shot over the last 2-3 years. The rest of this movie is not bad. The story is fairly decent, however, I'm not quite sure why Rooker's character suddenly changed his mind, went from hunting the girl to protecting her. Was it just because of a necklace?? How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
Solid director (see 'Triple Threat'), great cast (Rooker can sell anything - Bruce is used sparingly, Malkovich essentially an extended cameo), a decent concept, however none of the above can help disguise a poor half-baked script.
Willis' illness has obviously prompted him to try and make as much $$$ as he can, while he can. That can only be the reason why it seems like every few weeks, another lump of utter shite starring him appears. Such worthless garbage does nothing for his reputation, but thats the least of his concerrns. Sad.
Upsetting to watch for reasons attributed to Bruce's illness and the poor quality of the film.
