Synopsis
Le voyage de la famille Russo pour Porto Rico aurait dû être un voyage de rêve. Les parents ont choisi de faire découvrir à leurs enfants l’île sur laquelle ils se sont rencontrés et où ils sont tombés amoureux. Paysages paradisiaques et souvenirs magiques étaient alors au programme. Mais attention, toute baguette magique, grimoire et autres potions magiques doivent rester à New-York : ces vacances se passeront sans magie… Justin décide tout de même d’emmener sa baguette, on ne sait jamais ! A peine arrivée à Porto Rico, Alex, bien décidée à profiter de ces vacances pour se faire de nouveaux amis, promet de se rendre à une fête organisée sur la plage, et compte bien sur la magie pour parvenir à ses fins. Malheureusement sa mère s’y oppose et une dispute éclate. Sans réfléchir, Alex jette par accident un sort à sa mère : “Je voudrais que Papa et toi vous ne vous soyez pas connus !”… Son vœu se réalise et menace la famille...

Based on the IMDB pages, I think this is supposed to happen between seasons 2 and 3 of the TV show!

Wizards of Waverly Place has always been one of my favourite Disney Channel shows, the movie is a fun one too.

Its quiet heartfelt! I hadnt even seen more than a couple episodes of the series when I first watched this, and the emotional beats still came across. Always nice to come back to.

You know what? First time watching this movie and it wasn't bad. Actually it was kinda fun, the tropical vibes and stuff. It took me YEARS to watch it. I watched the whole original series like two, three years ago and I promised myself that I would watch this movie once I finished Wizards, but hey, I completely forgot about it... And now there's the Wizard's spin-off, which I spent the last few days binging like crazy on Disney+. Revisiting the original trio, in a different scenario I guess it had a deeper meaning for me, I felt like a warmth seeing those three again. Man! Selena, David, Jake, Jennifer, Maria and DeLuise was/were PERFECT in their roles. Hopefully we'll see a mega family-friend reunion in the new show.
