Kind of a redux of Planes, Tranes & Automobiles, but much meaner. It is a strange mix of Planes... and Crocodile Dundee, however the two leads have great chemistry. Fun, but a little off. Uncle Buck with Al Bundy anger. If you like kidnapping and child violence, this is your flick.
Ed O'Neill repeats the attitude of his TV show Marriage with Children.
This movie is all kinds of crazy. Dutch Dooley is a monster. Doyle Standish is gonna grow up to be a psychopath.
Nothing groundbreaking but it’s decent enough with a pretty good cast.
If you’re looking for something to watch back to back with Planes, Trains and Automobiles on Thanksgiving. Dutch isn’t a bad choice especially since it’s a lot like that movie. It’s also nice to see Ed O’Neill (Married With Children, Modern Family) get a rare starring role in a movie. Even if it’s predictable. Fun fact, O’Neill and Embry years later had a short lived Dragnet tv show together.
