Well... Considering I've read the books and really enjoyed the first ones I have to say that I am pretty darn disappointed. Found the movie rather plain and the actors just didn't make me care. ...and since I know there are plenty of books to come it was very obvious that this probably isn't the last Vampire Academy film. It should be, though.

I feel that this material would lend itself much better to a TV show. As it is, it's an OK movie.

This movie is a really weird mix of Harry Potter, Beverly Hills 90210, Twilight and Veronica Mars all thrown into one. At the same time it's refreshing though. Don't take the movie too seriously and heck, it's perhaps even a little enjoyable. If you're expecting a proper and thruthful book-adaption, you'll be in for a serious disapointment though.

Went in looking for a bad B movie. Alarmingly good movie. Only complaint: Dmitri looks like Tommy Wiseu
