Alternate reality of a bunch of great characters made this one of the more fun DCU animated films I have watched! While it will not be for everyone that enjoys the traditional renditions of the characters, this one was fun! Rating: 3.5/5 - 80% - Would Recommend

> "Bet you taste like crap." I do like the alternate universe storylines because it gives a nice fresh take on characters we have known for so long. Hearing Superman say "Dios mío" was hilarious.

DC explores an alternative universe in _Justice League: Gods and Monsters_. In this re-envisioning Superman is fathered by General Zod and leads an ultra-violent super-powered trio that work with the government to takeout terrorist groups; but after they’re framed for a number of murders the government turns against them. Featuring the voice talents of Benjamin Bratt, Michael C. Hall, and Tamara Taylor, the casting is pretty good. Additionally, the artwork features some interesting character designs that reflect the darker tone. And, the violence is surprisingly graphic and doesn’t shy away from showing blood and carnage. Incredibly bold, _Justice League: Gods and Monsters_ is a thrilling Elseworld adventure.
