The Missing Link of Contrast: Yan Yana While Yan Yana is a successful adaptation overall, it suffers from a notable casting mismatch. Haluk Bilginer proves to be an excellent choice, portraying his character’s depth and dignity with his signature mastery. However, Feyyaz Yiğit’s presence fails to truly convey the "ghetto" spirit central to the story. Instead of Yiğit’s unique absurd style, someone like Hasan Can Kaya, who naturally embodies street culture and the class divide, would have made the contrast far more impactful for the audience. Although this casting choice slightly clouds the story's sincerity, Bilginer’s towering performance still makes the film well worth watching.
