Fun fact, there's guys like this out there. Fun movie. Very poignant for its era with the dawning of the ERA. Everything most women feared about living at the time is contained in The Stepford Wives. 100% recommend. A true classic. Four stars for being pooitical even in modern times and it's crazy ending.

It's kinda sad that the movie still feels relevant. I wish I enjoyed it more though. It felt too slow paced and never really picked up till the last 10-20 minutes. The ending was obvious from the beginning but how they got there was really terrible. The main character just acts so stupidly all of a sudden and it doesn't make sense for her to do that.

One of those films that has become ingrained in our culture as allegory. Fair share of 70s camp but it's a creepy and enjoyable watch. Fun fact: two of the women in this movie played Ginger Grant from Gilligan's Island. Tina Louise played the role in the initial television series and Judith Baldwin took over the role in the made-for-television movies a decade later.

I liked it but it felt unbalanced between the slow build and any intriguing/mysterious plot development or revealing scenes. I know Paula Prentiss is a comedic actress but her sarcastic delivery was sometimes too strong, but not a major issue. There wasn't much of a creepy atmosphere.
