Quel mal conduit ...

"The Car" is a corny but enjoyable movie. It is difficult to tell if its trying to be funny or is just inadvertently so. For instance the film is sped up during some of the chase or attack scenes; it reminded me of the old Keystone Cops shorts. The body count of the Sheriff's department is skyrocketing during the course of the movie so much so it makes you wonder why they didn't call in for help from the National Guard or something. The acting was painful at times because it was so over the top. Watch this for the car and the havoc it wreaks and for Denson played by Eddie Little Sky.
un slasher de un auto? Im so in
The Car really gets the motor running as it heads out on the highway, to run people over. Excellent '70s flick with notable actors. Worth a watch.
GREAT 70s fun! It doesn't get more 70s than James Brolin and Kathleen Lloyd. Super cheesy plot, super cheesy scenes. Great bell bottoms, sneakers, generic football shirts - just as it was back then. Extra points for the opening theme - that was used in The Shining, and the Hitchock-esque running scenes. Observations that add to the cheese factor: "The Roll" = hysterical effects, cheesy explosions. Why was the film sped up any time the car turned around? How did the car affect wind a mile in front of it? Love this movie - if you want 70s cheesy fun, this is it. CAT POO!
Not much to this movie, including script or anything helpful to keep this moving along after the first 30 or 45 minutes. It's a quite menacing looking car though
