Welp. This show has officially turned into an inoffensive generic saturday morning cartoon with some added blood and profanity. There's no depth, no substance, no lasting consequences, and no self awareness despite its fundamental drive to be a cliche breaker. Really hate to witness something that was once so subversively mature fall on itself in such a clumsy and uninteresting fashion. I don't know if it's the episode writers or if it's just how the source material is written, regardless it's really falling short. Dialog is one note and very unfunny. The detail-barren artwork lacking proper shading/compositing along with the choppy animation isn't doing any favors to the already tedious narrative. It's an all-around mess and comes across to me the same way filler content would. Like I found with Season 2, the only things that hold up here are the voice acting and art style.
Full of gore, excitement, good animation, fights and wise thoughts about relationships, family and morals. I love this show and the 3rd season is as good or better than the predecessors.
Turned into a teenage drama with a little sauce of gore and thats it. I'm here for Nolan not the bunch of teenagers running around to a dead end. And lets be honest this is not aimed at kids with this much gore and blood.
Invincible War storyline
and
Conquest fight
were better executed in the comics. The additions they did for the series are overall positive, but nothing worth writing home about. Overall a good ending to the season, but the season as a whole was pretty underwhelming.
