Sigue a un detective irascible, ofensivo y malsano llamado Everett Backstrom (Rainn Wilson) que es devuelto a la Policía de Portland desde el exilio. Después de un destierro de cinco años al área de tráfico por comportamiento ofensivo, ha vuelto a liderar un área de la Policía de Portland. Con la tarea de investigar los casos más delicados y graves de la ciudad, tiene que resolver cada delito intentando y fallando. El regreso de Backstrom no es bien recibido por nadie, especialmente por su comandante, la jefa de Policía Anna Cervantes (Inga Cadranel).

In form and style, Backstrom is exactly what viewers have come to expect from "House" wannabes.
Series with great potential and personality are piling up and getting canceled. And this is another one. There are dozens of series with the same formula, but they had 5, 6, and even more seasons. This one deserved more.
It was pretty good, I really liked it, it was like seeing a fat and a bit more emotional Dr. House being a cop. Too bad it was cancelled
