I watched this show every week when it originally aired and just finished watching all the series again. What a great show! Brings me back to those simpler day of my youth.

Hard to believe it’s been 54 years since it aired. Just a great show. Time travel when watching. A time so much easier on the soul than these crazy times today.

I love this show because it does have good family values (mostly). And the fact that it is the society of the United States in the 1970s telling itself life was like in the Jim Crow south of the Great Depression and World War II of the 1930s and 1940s, respectively, that entertains me. most.
