La serie comienza 10 años después del final de la novela original. Mitch McDeere (el abogado que fue clave en la destrucción de la prestigiosa firma de abogados en Memphis, la cual servía como fachada para la mafia de Chicago) abandona el programa de protección de testigos bajo el que ha vivido durante una década e intenta retomar su vida con su mujer Abby.

I just finished the film and the series. I find it hard to understand, that if they know they are going to cancel a series, WHY? leave it on a cliff hanger? I was hooked on this.
As a huge John Grisham fan, I had really high hopes for this show. After about episode 12 though, I'm just slogging to get through it so I can get to the end of the main story arc. I'm not a fan of the future-flashback format at all; thankfully, they drop it for the most part about halfway through but it really threw me off. Wanted to be a fan, but it ultimately just fell flat for me.
Another one with great potential bites the dust...I'm think it was the time slot.
