So after hearing about this movie on the Spin-off doctors podcast I decided to check it out and oh boy... This is my new favorite best worst movie of all time, it's so amazingly terrible it's hilarious. I say, grab a few friends and a few beers and then sit back and enjoy.
Yup...Mortal Kombat: Annihilation is just as bad as I remembered it. The story, the acting, the sets, the effects. Everything about this movie is a giant step down from the first one, and that was a b-movie at best. A rather entertaining one, but still a b-movie. So where does this leave Annihilation? Well...even looking past the giant red flag that is replacing leads, this can only be described as atrocious. There's almost nothing redeemable about MK: Annihilation. The only thing I can think of is that the leading ladies are rather attractive, and the music is engaging, but when you can't stand the rest of the movie, that doesn't help much. My advice? Leave this one in the c-movie bargain bin, and just enjoy the first one again.
odd choice to not be able to delete a comment if someone replies to it namaste
ну звісно краще чим перша частина, але знято як дешеве кіно постановки боїв взагалі . єдиний на рівні бій був це Кунг-лау проти Люкенга
i do not think i was ready for "TOO BAD YOU. WILL DIE" or Johnny Cage getting unceremoniously reamed (i mean the recast looked Bad but 😭) in what felt like the first 20 seconds. well idk, i had a shit ton of fun though i can see where a lot of complaints were coming from. most of the recasts were shades of disastrous, the fight choreography plus general filming of said kombat was rough, this feels like a DTV fifth entry that would've come after a flop or two not one successful first go, and so on. even with all of that i loved the sense of scale (a shit ton of different settings), the road trip/journey feel of everyone constantly being on the move, and i am now a full on Sindel stan. only sore spot for me personally is that Baraka showed but he looked like that... my baby boy 😔
