En Japón, en un futuro cercano, el envejecimiento de la población se acelera. El gobierno estima que, a partir de cierta edad, los mayores se convierten en una carga inútil para la sociedad e implementa el “Plan 75”. Dicho programa propone a los ancianos un acompañamiento logístico y financiero para poner fin a su vida. Una candidata al Plan 75, Michi, un reclutador del gobierno, Hiromu, y una joven auxiliar de enfermería filipina, María, se ven enfrentados a un pacto mortífero.

Heartbreaking... because it's so close...
Usually I more or less agree with the overall vote for movies here: even if different from the one I give, I can see its general value for an audience with different sensibilities. But for this one I think it's vastly underestimated. 62% at the time of this review makes no sense to me, that's a barely average movie. My personal vote aside, I'd consider this a **76%** let's say. This is a beautiful and soft movie, dealing with old age with delicacy through visual means and emotions rather than words - making it all the more effective. It's worth a watch and it's thought provoking in the best way
sad but hopeful? beautiful cinematography for sure
