It was a great movie about bullying. The cast gave an amazing mindblowing acting.
I can't tell if I like this, but there's so much I feel it does right. Exhaustion, exasperation, irritation, and frustration. Watching a bunch of homophobic, racist, sexist, xenophobic, and hypocritical egomaniacs bully each other for an hour is nothing but pure fatigue. American media is fixated on high school/college culture. Every depiction prompts the question of where 'the line' sits. The story uses a fraudulent fraternity as a vehicle to discuss social conformities like toxic masculinity. The atmosphere was built from the very first scene and the entire cast held it incredibly. A grounded mix of juvenile and serious, even the soundtrack knows the tone.
The film was NOT what I was expecting but it was very captivating nonetheless. Also had an amazing Q&A with the director afterwards, which def enrichend the experience.
