I was expecting a regular boxing movie like Rocky but this was beautiful! I don't think I've seen many movies set during the great depression and I thought it was a very interesting setting. I cared about the characters and I was really rooting for Braddock in the final match. Also has a beautiful soundtrack.

A really wonderful film. Full of heart and humanity. Excellent performances from Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger. It's a story as old as cinema itself. The boxing redemption story. But this is based on true events, does not fall into Rocky IV territory, and is brilliantly shot. One of my favorites of all time. Definitely Top 20. I've watched it several times and it's always warmed my heart. 9/10

Just an excellent movie with great acting and a story closely based on a true folk hero of its time. Not only does the movie depict the boxing world during the Great Depression, but it is also an excellent depiction of the daily hardships of people during the Great Depression. An uplifting boxing movie, a great historic movie and just one of the best casts ever assembled. Just brilliant, very entertaining and a better boxing movie than the great Rocky.

He is A good fitter.
