I decided on giving this a shot based on the story. I’m normally super into the underdog sports stories. This had a really good story to it but the writing was a bit questionable. Some of the performances weren’t very good but it felt like some of the writing choices made it worse. The production value wasn’t very good in general. The heart is definitely in the right place and had some really good moments. My biggest issue is that it kind of dragged. It started pretty good and I was pretty invested but I slowly found myself losing interest as it went on. It’s obviously cliché and predictable but that was expected. I didn’t mind it and like I said it had some good moments but it was nothing more than average. I won’t be revisiting this one again. * Movie swapping with Joe

As a piece of filmmaking, it’s not that great. The script is a little cringy and its mostly predictable. However, it’s based on a true story so it is inspirational. And I hope it acts as a lesson for those who underestimate others (or themselves) as we are all capable of more than we think.
