Chronicle of the rebellious Danish ambassador in Washington regarding Denmark's collaboration with the Nazis. It benefits from a good cast, but is impaired by the inability to build solvent characters and a general apathy that fails to convey emotion, even with some tricks to achieve suspense (the deportation scene). The poor character development of Charlotte, his wife, destroys the interest in his personal life.
