Sinopsis
Cuenta la historia de las sufragistas inglesas en los albores de la Primera Guerra Mundial. La mayoría de estas mujeres no venían de clases altas, sino que eran mujeres trabajadoras que veían cómo sus protestas pacíficas no servían para nada. Radicalizadas y volviendo su lucha cada vez más violenta, estaban dispuestas a perderlo todo en su búsqueda incansable de la igualdad: sus trabajos, sus casas, sus hijos y sus vidas. Esta es la historia de Maud (Carey Mulligan), una de estas mujeres, y de su lucha por la dignidad y la de sus compañeras.

Worthy, impassioned drama, that still has relevance today. Isn't it about time we were all treated equally, regardless of age, gender, and sexuality?

Carey Mulligan owning each moment while turning from passive working class women into a fighter for the cause. Honestly i expected more but still worth the watch

I knew this movie would affect me, but I didn’t think it would be to this degree. Every other scene hit me like a ton of bricks and made me cry. In my side of the world, this is still 100% relevant. Incredible performance from all the cast. However, the directing could’ve been better.
