Sinopsis
Ambientada a mediados de la década de los ochenta, en plena guerra fría, narra los devastadores efectos de un holocausto nuclear en la vida de los habitantes del pequeño pueblo norteamericano de Lawrence, Kansas. Sus habitantes hacían vida normal, muchos de ellos ajenos a la creciente tensión entre la Unión Soviética y los Estados Unidos -junto al resto de los países de la OTAN- por un conflicto en Berlín. Pero cuando la guerra estalla, la cercanía de Lawrence a una base de misiles nucleares americanos firmará la sentencia de muerte a la mayoría de sus habitantes

Some effective parts and some long boring patches. It's ok. The good parts alone are better than a lot of simular movies.

The most important film of my life. It should be compulsory in all schools. "The catastropnic events you have just witnessed are, in all likelihood, less severe than the destruction that would actually occur in the event of a full nuclear strike against the United States. It is hoped that the images of this film will inspire the nations of this earth, their peoples and leaders, to find the means to avert the fateful day." An 11/10 for this memorial that stands on its own.

I liked the way you approach it, in a town in Kansas, you see what life was like before the attack and what it is like after. I hope it doesn't happen
