Hana está buscando tranquilidad mental y física después de haber pasado un periodo muy estresante trabajando en un hospital en Ramtha, en la frontera entre Jordania y Siria, donde trataba a las víctimas de la guerra de Siria. Encuentra algo de paz en Luxor (Egipto), donde vivió cuando tenía 20 años y fue pareja de un atractivo arqueólogo llamado Sultan, que en aquel entonces también estudiaba allí. En este nostálgico viaje en solitario trata de superar las emociones que ha dejado tras de sí la guerra. Cuando se vuelve a encontrar casualmente con Sultan, la química entre ambos resulta innegable.

More travelogue than movie although it’s always a pleasure to see Andrea Riseborough. Sadly, she is surrounded by uninteresting characters, and the movie, while occasionally thoughtful, is a bit of a slog to sit through.
[AtlàntidaFF] An introspective look at a character who is marked by trauma, that makes her look at the past with melancholy and the future with uncertainty. Focused on mood, well reflected by an Andrea Riseborough performance that internalizes emotions, there is a certain poetic languor. The British character reflects the paradox of the West in the destruction and "reconstruction" of the Middle East.
Drama Queen of the Nile. This romance is one of those movies where (I'm sure) the writer /director films her personal life but gives it a happy ending. Dear directors: Entertain or instruct me, but don't make me watch a 1998 mixed media, travel DVD-ROM of your therapy.
**An unfortunate waste of time and talent.** While Andrea Riseborough beautifully conveys the burden that years of sorrow and regret bring, everything else is very bland and mundane. The metaphor here to archaeology is a simplistic one and might’ve even been something worth exploring in a short film.
