Sinopsis
Quince años han pasado desde que Selene y su amante Michael, híbrido entre humano y licántropo, derrotaran al Vampiro Mayor Marcus en Underworld Evolution. En esos años la humanidad ha descubierto la existencia tanto del clan de los vampiros como del de los licántropos y se ha lanzado a una lucha encarnizada para erradicar ambas especies. Selene, capturada durante el genocidio, se despierta después de más de una década y se da cuenta de que se encuentra cautiva en un laboratorio herméticamente cerrado en Antigen, una poderosa corporación biotecnológica que se dedica a desarrollar la vacuna en contra de los virus que han creado a vampiros y licántropos. Selene se siente destrozada cuando descubre que Michael está muerto, pero su dolor es eclipsado por el descubrimiento de que mientras se hallaba en estado de criogenización ha dado a luz a la hija de ambos, Eve.

First hour is meh, last 30 minutes is pretty cool. Still no where near as good as the original. The fx were not good.

Kate Beckinsale alone would have been worth watching it. Really liked it. Good entertainment. Could have been a bit longer though.

Underworld: Awakening in my opinion wasn't the best in the series, but at the same time wasn't a bad film. It took a step back from the heavy mythology of the previous films and ramped up the action much more. I guess they are done telling the story of the history of Vampires and Werewolves and are starting to tell a different story of them in the present which I'm not against. I'll be looking forward to the next one.

>"The world I once knew has changed." Ok so the first half of this movie felt like a straight-to-dvd release and I was worried. Michael is not in this and it felt like they were just half-assing it. But then the second half of the movie came and it got really good. Selene kills more Lycans than she ever has in the previous films and I wish more people gave this movie a chance.
