Handlung
Nachdem sie zwölf Jahre lang in einem komatösen Zustand gehalten wurde, erfährt die Vampirin Selene, dass sie Mutter einer ebenso alten Tochter namens Eve ist. Diese ist halb Vampir und halb Lykaner. Als Selene versucht den Mensch-Lykaner und vermeintlichen Vater Michael zu finden, muss sie feststellen, dass die Welt nicht die ist, die sie einmal war. Denn nun sind es die Menschen, die die größten Feinde der Vampire sind. Seitdem die Menschheit von der Existenz der Vampire und Lykaner weiss, versucht sie beide auszurotten. Um dies zu verhindern, ziehen Selene und ihre neue Familie alle Register und wollen zu diesem Zweck ihrem größten Gegner, der Organisation Antigen, das Handwerk legen, die mit dem Erschaffen von Super-Lykanern den Tod aller bedeuten würden.

First hour is meh, last 30 minutes is pretty cool. Still no where near as good as the original. The fx were not good.

Kate Beckinsale alone would have been worth watching it. Really liked it. Good entertainment. Could have been a bit longer though.

Underworld: Awakening in my opinion wasn't the best in the series, but at the same time wasn't a bad film. It took a step back from the heavy mythology of the previous films and ramped up the action much more. I guess they are done telling the story of the history of Vampires and Werewolves and are starting to tell a different story of them in the present which I'm not against. I'll be looking forward to the next one.

>"The world I once knew has changed." Ok so the first half of this movie felt like a straight-to-dvd release and I was worried. Michael is not in this and it felt like they were just half-assing it. But then the second half of the movie came and it got really good. Selene kills more Lycans than she ever has in the previous films and I wish more people gave this movie a chance.
