This film was honestly quite amazing! I understand that my score may feel less sophisticated or technical compared to other valid reviews, but I was just enthralled by this film from start to finish. The set design, setting, and atmosphere all helped contribute to the claustrophobic nature of June's apartment. The acting was also phenomenal and the best aspect of this film, with Naomi Watts giving a performance that I can confidently attest to being one of the best as a movie lover in general. The meaning behind this film is a bit more elusive, with clues and hints being subtly conveyed. Yet, at the end of the day, the ending sequence provides a satisfactory sense of closure that brings everything full circle. Again, I have to emphasize that Naomi Watts was the driving force of momentum behind this film, with her performance giving life to June (her character). It was an absolute pleasure watching this film, and while reviews may say otherwise if one has the patience and fortitude, consider watching this film!
The mysteries, both internal and external, remain elusive within the film, but its still an engaging watch, and this is largely thanks to Watts' performance.
