The worst thing in an "Adam Sandler movie" is the Adam Sandler.
I'll watch anything from Happy Madison.. The stupider the better, never understand people calling movies stupid when they are SUPPOSED to be.
My favorite part about this whole movie was Vanilla Ice as Mark Twain. I probably re-watched him dancing at least 10 times. Don't know why but it cracks me up!
Wow this got crucified. I actually had a really good time with it and I've not liked a Sandler film for a while and his usual entourage have grown very thin but I enjoyed them here. As for the cast it's wide and varied, it's a continuous "hey thats him/her". I particularly liked Terry Crews but that maybe because I think he is gold in everything. It moves at a pretty good pace for its runtime except for the baseball bit which absolutely should not have made the cut as it killed the momentum entirely and went on too long. I can kind of understand not wanting to cut a 'name' ("Don't fuck with the Jesus") from the film who clearly wanted to work with them but the whole bit was a one note dragged out way too thin. The Steve Buscemi scene was magic. His unbroken demeanour throughout had me transfixed as it went from bad to worse. I have to say I really enjoyed Taylor Lautner. I found a comedic respect for him watching the second season of the UK comedy Cuckoo when he quasi-replaced Andy Sambergs character (he played his son) and it was a real wtf moment. I wouldn't be surprised if it was that turn that landed him this gig. I liked it and Netflix should have stood by it rather than trying to disappear it from their front and centre presence in the first couple of days.
Really enjoyed this one! Very funny!
