Del creador de ser John Malkovich, viene la historia sobre el creador del ser John Malkovich.
Charlie Kaufman, un guionista de Los Ángeles, vive un periodo de crisis creativa, todo lo contrario que su hermano gemelo Donald. Charlie escribe tal como vive: con gran dificultad y lleno de inseguridades, mientras que Donald vive tal como escribe: con dejadez. Por su parte, Susan escribe sobre la vida, pero es incapaz de vivirla. Por el contrario, la intensa y aventurera vida de John es digna de una novela.

First two thirds of this film were fantastic, but let down by the final third unfortunately.
It tethers dangerously close to being a parody of itself and stroking the writer's self indulgence.
Adaptation of Susan Orlean’s “The Orchid Thief” by Charlie Kaufman, in which Charlie Kaufman (Nicolas Cage) struggles to adapt Susan Orlean’s “The Orchid Thief” while his brother and improvised screenwriter Donald (also Nicolas Cage) is having a much easier time. Surely self-indulgent but, unlike Kaufman’s later works, remarkably self-aware and enjoyable throughout. Interesting how Charlie’s movie (brainy and conceptual) morphs into Donald’s movie (a clichéd thriller) as his character becomes more prominent, even though I preferred the former.
