What an amazing dumpster fire.

My, such a godawful production and horrendously distracting costumes! I was barely 16 minutes in when I gave in and I abandoned it

This film was delayed from release for several years. It's easy to see why - it's one almighty mess. Good actors are stuck with a script that makes little sense and the audience is stuck with a film that is a chore to sit through. Dreadful.

I'm sorry but what even was that?

Awful. Pierce Brosnan is really good in it, as is William Hurt. but the main actress is terrible. So bad I'm not even going to look up her name. The script wasn't bad, possibly even could be really good, but the directing was dismal and there was no chemistry between any of the cast, excepting the two previously mentioned. The worst part about the film is the costumes. The script, the period, all screens trying to take you backwards in time, while the costumes are like something out of a Met Gala. 3.6/10 Don't waste your time unless you're looking for background noise.
